The Variety Club, in conjunction with the European Senior Golf Tour and Travis Perkins plc, presented a brand new minibus to Blanche Nevile at Woburn Golf Club last week.

John Carter, Chief Executive of Travis Perkins plc, and Jamie Little, Director of Golf for the Variety Club Golf Society, handed the keys over to Jonathan Duff, our Chair of Governors.

Several members of  staff from Primary and Secondary, including our new Headteacher, Geraldine Santiago, and some incredibly excited children, enjoyed the trip up to Woburn Golf Club to be presented with the stunning new minibus.

“This is a huge thing for our school,” said Jonathan Duff. “Having a minibus like this will literally change our pupils’ lives. They come from all over London, and some of them don’t get the opportunity to go into the city centre and see the sights. The minibus will allow us to enrich the children’s education and we can’t thank Travis Perkins plc and Variety enough.”

John Carter added: “We are delighted to present this bus to Blanche Nevile School. From speaking to Jonathan, we appreciate how much of a difference this will make to the pupils at the school and their education and it was wonderful seeing the reactions of the children when they first saw it next to the putting green here at Woburn. We hope to work very closely with Jonathan and the school over the coming months.”
